Well, what would he know about it! Bet he wouldn't think if was sufficient if it was his.

The TSH doesn't tell us much, but your FT4 looks low. But, without the range, we can't really tell. Can you give us the range, please? These vary from lab to lab so we always need the ranges that came with your results. :)

Hi I have been trying to post a photo but keeps on deleting my free t4 range 9.0. 19.05 pmol/L Tsh 035.494

OK, so your FT4 is only 49.75% through the range. That really wouldn't be high enough for the majority of hypos. Most of us need it up around 75%. What's more, your FT3 could be a lot lower if you don't convert well. And it's low T3 that causes symptoms like fatigue.

No, I definitely don't think your doctor would consider this dose sufficient if it were he that was taking it! But I doubt he'd understand why.

I will call them in the morning see what they come up with thank you

They'll probably just mutter something about results being in range. To which you could reply, yes, I know, I can read, but they're not high enough in range to make me well!

You need to add range on Ft4

Just testing TSH and Ft4 is completely inadequate

Which brand of levothyroxine are you taking

Do you always get same brand

Is your hypothyroidism autoimmune (hashimoto’s)

Have you had TPO and TG thyroid antibodies tested at least once

For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4 and FT3 tested

Recommended that all thyroid blood tests early morning, ideally just before 9am, only drink water between waking and test and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test

This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip)

Very important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 at least once year minimum

what vitamin supplements are you taking

Approximately how much do you weigh in kilo

Testing options and includes money off codes for private testing

Medichecks Thyroid plus BOTH TPO and TG antibodies and vitamins

Free T4 (fT4) 14 pmol/L (9 - 19.05)

Only 49.8% through range

Request 25mcg dose increase in levothyroxine

Initially perhaps increase by 12.5mcg daily

Retest 8-10 weeks later

Accord don’t make 25mcg

Either get 50mcg and cut in half for 25mcg or 1/4 for 12.5mcg

Or try Wockhardt or Mercury Pharma for 25mcg
