How does my sister obtain more t3 after endocrinologist wouldn't help.

My sister is having trouble finding more t3 as the place she used to get it no longer has it and endocrinologist would only do another medication which makes her feel terrible which he wouldn't listen to. How else can she obtain t3? I've heard some people getting it privately. How does one go about this and if there is any other way then please do let me know. Many thanks

Is your sister in uk?

If yes.

For private doctors Thyroid UK has compiled of private GPs & Endocrinologists which can be obtained by contacting Thyroid U.K. either by emailing info@thyroiduk.org or using this online form thyroiduk.org/about-thyroid...

There is option to purchase without prescription

Please read this post should you receive information about suppliers.

Very important FT4 & nutrients are optional before adding T3. Has this been done?

Recommend you begin another post & add results & lab range. TSH, FT4, FT3. TPO & TG anti bodies. Folate, ferritin, B12 & vitamin D. Private blood tests can be arranged if doctor will not fully test.

Forum guidelines stipulate that members can only discuss T3 supplies via private message, so I will close your post to replies. Please be aware that there are many scams out there, so I would ensure that you read members profiles to ensure they are long standing before taking up any supply recommendations. You can also send the admin team a PM to double check any suppliers named.

So we can offer better help and support, ask your sister to join the forum, complete a profile to let us know more about her thyroid journey. It’s useful to share thyroid blood tests (with ranges in brackets) and let us know what type/ dosage of thyroid medication she takes. It is Lao recommended to share thyroid blood tests, plus key vitamins (ferritin, folate, Vitamin D or Vitamin B12)

When you receive a message with a recommendation, please do not assume it is genuine.

Scammers are joining the forum on a very regular basis and messaging members with their assertions that they have successfully purchased xyz medication from zyx source.

First, check the profile of the member that sent you the message. Are they a long term member with an active forum posting history? Or are they a recently

joined member with little or no posting history?

Once you have what you think may be a genuine recommendation, please message a forum admin to ask whether the admin team have any feedback on the source you've been given.

Admins are not allowed to recommend sources, but we can tell you what, if any, feedback we've received about the source you've been given.

⚠️ Don't part with your much needed money until you are as sure as you can be that the source is genuine.

Scammers often join the forum and post a 'fake' story about their thyroid journey, that includes mention of self sourcing their thyroid meds. This is to encourage members to ask them where they purchase their medication without prescription.
