thyroid tablets

hi all

I recently started armour tablets as I was still having symptoms with 100 of Levo with a TSH of 0.06. I feel slightly better with less tiredness and pain in legs. However the private prescription is costing me £130 a month. This is going to be difficult long term. Does anyone know of a different way to but this? Currently my endocrinologist does the script to a pharmacy in London. Can I source this myself with less cost?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions

Armour is the most expensive option unfortunately wherever you buy it, theres no cheap supply.

Some people try Thyroid -S but sourcing it can be an issue and we get people posting regularly about different batch strengths.

Probably the cheapest and most sustainable option would be Levo + T3.

Have you optimised all your vitamin levels?

What supplements are you taking?

What are your most recent vitamin blood results?

Yes I have managed to put my b12 and vitamin d back in range. I takes calcium b12 folic acid bioselenium and ashwaganda . My cortisol is raised at night. Due updated bloods in 1 weeks time. Only been on armour for 8 weeks.

Ask your prescribing doctor about a Levo/T3 combination then. If they prescribe Thybon-Henning T3 they are only 60-70p per 20mcg tablet. Can be cut into quarters to give different dose strengths. Shouldn't be expensive at all.

No thyroid hormone works well unless all your vitamin levels are OPTIMAL.

Cheeseboard, Your question may elicit private messages telling you where you can buy Armour (and other medications) online without prescription. If you haven't already done so, do read our warning post about this: healthunlocked.com/thyroidu...

Thanks I’ve read it but wasn’t intending to try and purchase it without a prescription just hoping I might find it form a different supplier cheaper. Now I realise that’s unlikely
