I was on 100mcg Levothyroxine and 10mcg Liothyronine for 30 years but when I moved from Guernsey to UK the GP said they could not prescribe Liothyronine which I knew could be a problem. I had the same issue in Guernsey when they also decided to not support the prescribing of Liothyronine due to the increased cost. My GP gave me a private prescription after a trial without it which made me unwell for 9 months. I now source my own. I asked to be referred to an endocrinologist (2021) hoping they would support my need for Liothyronine as been on it and well for 30 years! As expected after video appointment, no joy as classed as new patient (noNHS in Guernsey) even with GP letter stating been well on Liothyronine and trialled without it. Then cut Levothyroxine from 100 to 75 due to suppressed TSH which we know will be. Anyway after a year on lower dose GP wanted to cut it down again so I went to see her and explained everything eg would be suppressed as I take Liothyronine and she agreed not to change it again and I would get blood test privately as they don’t test T3.
So now take 75mcg Levothyroxine and 10mcg Liothyronine. My results are at the top of the post I think! I included reverse T3 any advice welcome.
