Increasing Levothyroxine is not always the answer, it is important to understand all other influencing factors and if T4 is being converted to T3. Izabella Wentz book Hashimoto Protocol is a very comprehensive guide to it all. And finding an Endocrinologist who understands. Youtube Sten Ekberg also helped me to see the whole picture.
La Lande: Increasing Levothyroxine is not always... - Thyroid UK

I take 25mg Levothyroxine. Blood tests in AUGUST T4 20.5; TSH 2.41. The doctor thinks these results are so good that I don't need to repeat it for 6 months. However, I'm always cold and my pulse is consistently low - in the 60s. Tried private blood testing but could not get enough blood from the finger prick test- just a very sore finger.
And very tired all the time.
Well , yes, the tiredness. And Medichecks does blood tests at Outpatients, you pay a fee for that, but for me it was worth it , I couldn't do the finger prick. It may be that your Levothyroxine dose is low, and you may need a second opinion for that if your GP does not agree. But as I said in a previous post, increasing Levo. may not be enough, and there is much you can do with lifestyle and supplements, to support gut, adrenals and liver. It is really important to have a holistic understanding and approach.
