I just received an email which appeared to be from LIoyds_Direct_

The subject: Take control of your NHS prescriptions, with free delivery or collection

I have included an image of how the email looks in my email program (Outlook).

This is some form of scam or malware delivery.

If you get such an email DELETE IT. If you know how, delete it permanently. (If not, don't worry.)

DO NOT open it.

How do I know?

First, my email system marked it as junk!

Second, that second letter is a capital letter-i. Not a lower-case-L. So it isn't even the name of the pharmacy.

Third, ending an email identifier with an underscore at the end is somewhat odd and not what you'd expect from a company.

Therefore, without even looking inside it, it is obviously highly suspicious.

Once a scam merchant starts, they very often work the field. That is, having done this faking one pharmacy, they might well do something similar for many other pharmacy names.

And they might use a whole host of different subject lines.

These things are always going round. But as so many here deal with UK online pharmacies, it is a particular danger to members.

I noticed it last week and thought it was rather odd. Thank you for making members aware.

On a bad brain fog day I might not have noticed. Thanks for the heads up!

Such a system does legitimately exist, but it's better dealt with direct by a local Lloyds Pharmacy if you have one. I pay £90/year for both mine and my wife's medicines delivered to the door.

I recently ordered an over the counter medicine from Lloyds online and had huge difficulties. Evri deliver their parcels but everything possible went wrong with mine and I was unable to contact Lloyds customer services at all. They have a phone number but it doesn’t work, they don’t respond to emails or contact forms. I asked for a refund on a contact form & never received one.

My parcel, unusually, these days needed to be signed for. I wouldn’t have ordered from Lloyds if I’d known this as I never see the delivery people having a post box at they’d of a long drive. It took many weeks & lots of emails & phone calls to Evri to finally get hold of my parcel. Evri were at fault too but at least they are contactable.

One star review on Trustpilot for Lloyds. Don’t trust them at all.

I usually hover over the sender’s name and it brings up the email address from where it was sent which, in the case of spam, looks like an autogenerated password… To be fair, gmail usually puts stuff like this straight into the junk folder, but even they sometimes get it wrong so I’ll check the less obvious ones like that. I NEVER open them!
