Lexapro and synthroid

has any heard of taking Lexapro to close to synthroid could make side effects worse of each medication

Synthroid should be taken away from other meds to make it most effective.Lexapro works by affecting the level of serotonin. Much of the body's serotonin is in the gut so lexapro affects gut function. This in turn can affect the absorption of synthroid. It might mean that those taking lexapro need a slightly higher dose of synthroid to compensate.

I was on lexapro for many years due to anxiety. The anxiety stopped when I was able to get my thyroid hormones at the right levels for me. I have been off lexapro now for 6 years.

I have taken synthroid for about 15 years, but no other drugs.......it is made by abbvie and they do have a web site. synthroid.com You could also call the abbvie company direct \.

Mixing abunch of drugs is difficult for anyone........I had relatively minor anxiety and it went away when I had my parathyroid out this year............

Big pharma just wants to sell drugs............so overall your body knows what it needs
