Taking synthroid with food?

Synthroid is still burning my stomach after taking it, I'm waiting for an hour to take my ppi and it's a horrible burning, but I was thinking if anybody here takes it with food, or if I can take it before my lunch and take the ppi first thing in the morning, thank you

You can take Synthroid one hour before lunch & four hours after PPI. Don't take Synthroid with food.

No, I take on empty stomach when I get up, but I don't have stomach problems.

I take NDT.The advice was to chew it & take with water.Due to the mild burning in my stomach that this induced,I changed to a brand that is gastric-coated.This is swallowed & is designed to pass into the intestine beyond the stomach & be absorbed there.

Is it possible that synthoid is available gastric-coated?Therapeutic low-dose aspirin is another medication that is available gastric-coated.

You can check here whether there are any coated levothyroxine products in the USA:

I think it is doubtful. It is usually thought that the best absorption is achieved by having the tablets disperse/disintegrate as soon as possible.

You could be reacting to one or more of the ingredients (fillers) in it.

I would suggest trying a different make of levo rather than taking it with or near food.

Do you take your Synthroid with a glass of water? Or just a sip? Or even none at all?

Big glass of water and drink continuously water for the next hour. when i feel the burning 😞
