T4 in Levo v T4 in NDT

Taking NDT I have often wondered how long the T4 in NDT starts to work and how. In Levo everyone states six weeks before it starts to work. Does anyone have a clue it could be interesting but I cannot find any information on it.

It doesn't take six weeks for levothyroxine to start to work.

It takes, typically, something like six weeks for blood test results to stabilise whether from starting levothyroxine or after a dose change.

It starts to work within a couple of hours. Possibly sooner. But that is very much a start.

I have read that but when as I have no thyroid I was trying to start from scratch with hardy any FT3. After 20 days or so I felt worse on Levo so I started adding T3 which never worked.

It would be good to know exactly, but thyroid is not an exact science. Levo worked for me back in 2015 with no Thyroid but I was on too low a dose 100mcg. Thank you.

I believe that the levo and t3 elements of NDT are bound and transported in the blood differently to just levo or combo but I don't know the science of it. Someone nay come along and explain . I think waveylines might know about this.

OK thanks I thought that it must be very different but after looking for days couldn't find an answer.
