Hi there,
I'm looking for a chemist in the UK to fill a private prescription. Does anyone already use a reliable one with decent prices?

ThyroidUK has a list of pharmacies which will dispense private prescriptions for NDT and liothyronine here, you could ring round to get best price:
thyroiduk.org/if-you-are-hy...
What in particular is your prescription for?
I have been on NDT but doc has suggested throxine (possibly Tirosint) and T3.
The TUK page mentions NDT and T3 but you can ask about levothyroxine, I can't see it being a problem.
I don't have a private prescription for T3 but it's frequently mentioned here that the cheapest T3 is Thybon Henning 20mcg which has to be stipulated on the prescription. Smartway, Roseway and Chemist4U are often mentioned for Thybon Henning and I believe the price works out at around 50-60p per tablet.
I suspect you'll find Tirosint is expensive - if you find anyone willing to supply it.
Also, that one product is sold under a variety of brand names across Europe.
Some details on my rest of the world document:
helvella's medicines documents (UK and Rest of the World) can be found here:
helvella - Thyroid Hormone Medicines
helvella has created, and tries to maintain, documents containing details of all thyroid hormone medicines in the UK and, in less detail, many others around the world.
This link takes you to a page which has direct links to the documents from Dropbox and Google Drive, and QR codes to make it easy to access from phones.
The UK document contains up-to-date versions of the Summary Matrix for tablets, oral solutions and liothyronine available in the UK.
