Mixing levothyroxine brands - Almus and Teva

As I continue to be symptomatic and my TSH has risen to 2.03 my GP has agreed to a trial increase in dose from 100mcg to 125mcg.

I’ve picked up my prescription for the additional 25mcg and noticed they’re a different brand. My 100mcg tablets are Almus and the new ones are Teva.

Has / is anyone else mixing brands and is this likely to be an issue?

Thanks for any input and hope everyone is feeling as good as possible!

You may or may not get on with Teva, you'll only know if you try. Some people can mix brands, others can't.

Almus is made by Accord who do not make a 25mcg dose tablet. If you don't get on with Teva you could ask for 50mcg Almus and cuf them in half to get the extra 25mcg .
