Hi everyone. My appointment with the consultant has come through now and as its my first I would appreciate a bit of advice if anyone can help. I am a bit nervous as I don't know what to expect with regards to any tests that could be done on the day or later at another appointment. I had bloods taken as they wanted one that had been taken within a month so that should be OK. Do I need to take anything or do anything before I go? Thanks everyone.

Have you been working on your vitamin levels as per the advice of SeasideSusie here? healthunlocked.com/thyroidu...
What are you hoping to achieve by seeing an Endocrinologist? I am assuming you have remaining symptoms.
I would recommend getting full thyroid and vitamin testing done to take to your appointment. If you use Monitor My Health they are more likely to accept the results as it is an NHS lab. This would be especially useful to show your FT3 which the NHS doesn;t always test.
Have you had your thyroid antibodies tested? The NHS only test one type - TPO but privately you can test Tg ab (Thyroglobulin). Monitor my Health being an NHS lab wouldnt be able to do this.

Private testing showed
Negative antibodies
Folate was deficient
B12 extremely low
Vitamin D needed improving
Ferritin better towards 70
Presumably you are now taking daily B12, vitamin B complex, vitamin D and magnesium
And been increasing iron rich foods in diet
Strongly recommend getting full thyroid and vitamin testing redone BEFORE consultation
Remember to stop vitamin B complex 5-7 days before test
Instead continue B12 and add a separate Folate supplement
Hi Hidden, my recommendation is to take a great attitude of optimistic expectation and gratitude. I have a very good relationship with my consultant who has looked after me really well and believe it is a result of this. I am honest and do exactly as he suggests especially with regard to pre-blood test doses of medication. Very best of luck, I hope the appointment goes well and brings good results for you.
