need reassurance

just increased synthroid to 100mcg. My tsh went up to 15. Tsh lab tab range (.5-4) in states. I am beginning third week and should be used to side effects when increasing due to sensitivity. This week always seems to be the hardest of the up and downs. Just need reassurance that increase was necessary and this will pass

Yes the increase was necessary. It is so hard when we hit the bad weeks of an increase. I have often given up on an increase during those bad weeks. And of course I had to go through it all again as I really needed that increase. If you are sensitive to increases you could try splitting your dose to see if that makes it gentler on the body. You call cut tablets with a sharp knife or pill cutter

Hang in there. Sometimes we need to be kind to ourselves and let life take a little backseat while our body adjusts.
