Looking back at your previous post

has your endo stopped your T3 or is he intending to and wants you back on Levo only?
hi yes he has. Wants me back on 125g of thyroxine
Well, we know from your previous results that on thyroxine only your conversion is poor
FT4: 21.2 (10-20) = 112%
FT3: 4.6 (3.5-6.5) = 36.67%
I think that might have been on 125mcg Levo?
yes you are right, that’s why I don’t know what I should do
Well, your results suggest that you would benefit from T3. What's been happening, how long have you trialled T3, how has it been titrated, what have your results been on combo meds, how have you felt, are your key nutrients all optimal?
hi. Thank you for replying it is really appreciated. I trialled T3 for 14 weeks approx. Until the i was told to go back to 125g. I wasn’t happy with this decision so upped my thyroxine from 75g to 100g along with two doses of 5g T3. I believe my key nutrients are good, but tbh I am not feeling great, pretty much the same as when i was on 75g.
That would depend on how you absorb each hormone and also how well you convert levo. Noone can really tell you in advance.
There is no comparison. If t3 was equivalent in any way to thyroxine then we would all just be on thyroxine at a higher 'equivalent' dose.If a person has poor conversion and needs t3 to bring ft3 up then that is what they need.
It must be added that there is a higher risk of cancer on thyroxine monotherapy when ft4 is kept high. So for those with poor conversion having high ft4 to obtain an acceptable ft3 level is not advisable.

thank you for the info, I thought I had seen someone answered a query saying that t4 + t3 would be equivalent to a t4 result
It's very likely you have seen that sort of statement. But it is only, at best, an educated guess.
I have tried to explain here:
helvella - How much more potent is T3?
Some folks subscribe to making that comparison using the idea that t3 is 3 or 4 times more potent than t4.It is hypothetical as they are not substitutes. If you are a poor convertor and need t3 you need t3.
Like many on here I spent years on t4 monotherapy and no dose made me feel well. My TSH was well under range, my ft4 was at 60% and my ft3 at 17%. I added in only 7.5mcg t3 - that was all that was needed to bring my ft3 up to 72%.
