I think one stop shop women clinics are a fantastic idea! I'd also favour maternity centres, my birthing experience was dire and I thought it had really improved decades later but apparently still not by much, with large regional variances. I think everything needs overhauling on that front.

That said, going by the sexual health clinics today they are not as good as they were, I imagine due to funding. They're still good however and maybe could be expanded to offer more reproductive services specifically to women and men for say prostate issues for e.g.

As someone that lives on the intersection of multiple disadvantages on account of my identity, I am sad to share this paper and many like it before add to the heightened distress I feel over such health inequalities. We know they exist, so how much talk before anything changes?! (NB - ‘we’ = society, not you personally  humanbean of course).

It’s got to the stage where to me it feels more like some weird entertainment news piece that plays on loop rather than a genuine awareness campaign (how much of these do we need?!) when this is my (and many other people’s of course) life.

I guess I get quite a bit sick of all the talk and no action.

It sucks for women, People of Colour, and people with severe mental health challenges in health and every other kind of institution in the UK and globally. God help those that are all 3!

Sorry in a not sorry kind of way. Rant over.

I think it's a brilliant idea but it will probably never be put into action. I remember my friend who was an accounts manager in the NHS in Southampton telling me an interesting fact.

In Southampton the NHS had two walk in clinics one in Shirley and the other one in Bitterne these were often used locally by residents visiting in the evenings after work.

The price to the NHS to visit the walk in clinic was the cheapest, next and GP and then A & E.

Guess which one the NHS closed down, it was the cheapest one to visit the walk in clinic.

It was in the Echo at the time and caused an uproar with people picketing the Bitterne one which stayed open.

I am pleased to say I live in France where the health care is fantastic. All of my treatment here is free as I have no thyroid and free for anything else too.

The only thing wrong is the fresh food which is terrible.
