Doctify reviews

Hi allJust wondering if anyone has an opinion on Doctify reviews. I have been looking for a private endocrinologist re Thyroid issues. Do you think it is a trusted website?

I'm not sure if reviews are genuine ie. Some drs reviews seem to be too good to be true (or maybe I'm just being cynical)

Any feedback would be much appreciated

Hi SlowdragonYes I have that list from Thyroid Uk.

I live in Northern Ireland and the nearest Dr on the list is in Dublin so quite a distance away for me.

Remember that virtual appointments are a thing now so do see if any of them will do that.

Thanks jaydee but I would prefer a face to face consultation. It's just me being a bit old school but appreciate the suggestion

I came across one on Doctify in Belfast who sounds excellent..... 53 5 star reviews....no negative or even mediocre reviews which makes me skeptical

Put 'Northern Ireland' into the 'Search HealthUnlocked' box. Several recent posts come up and you might be able to make contact with others in your area.

Thank you for that advice. It's been very helpful. There have been a couple of references to Dr A in northern Ireland who I believe is the man whom I was researching on Doctify. Other opinions here seem to be positive so hopefully I will be able to make an apptThanks for the tip

Sorry just realised perhaps it's against forum rules to put even a drs initial on open forum. So apologies if I have inadvertently broken the rules

I believe you can actually put the doctors name you wish to have recommendations for but replies must be by pm. The Admin team will put a note on your post to that effect.

In the US we have sites where patients can give reviews for doctors. Those are just some people's opinions. Some can rate one doctor good and another patient say he/she is horrible. You have to form your own opinion on them. I had a urologist tell me he read all my other reports from other doctors and just said as the other doctors say. I'd rather one form their own opinion than read other doctor's notes. I have access to my notes and found something important in my files that he claimed to have read that contradicted "his findings". I'll never go to him again and I told his supervisor why. So make your own assessments on doctors. You can read them and if they have all bad reviews then I'd steer clear of them.
