There's very little that you can't take when you're on replacement thyroid hormone as it really just substitutes what your own body should be putting out. So long as you take it an hour after levo its fine.

I have been taking collagen, in powder form, but take it 4 hours after Armour thyroid. It’s been great for my hair, skin, and nails. Which take a beating with hypothyroidism.

I’ve been taking marine collagen for years without any issues.

HI, I am taking a vegan collagen with no problems, great results for hair, skin. . After doing lots of research I found vegan to be the best option as marine collagen is often derived from fish farms in Vietnam with very poor conditions (antibiotics, lots of polluted water) even the very expensive one done by Absolute used Vietnamese fish farms. I use Feel vegan collagen formula.

Vegan collagen is a bit of a con since collagen only exists in animal and marine species. Vegan collagen is just a number of amino acids that will help boost the bodies own production of collagen. It might be great for skin, hair and nails but if you have osteopenia or osteoporosis it's probably better to take a marine collagen supplement, vitamin D/K2 and do weight bearing exercise. Beware that some collagen supplements contain copper sulphate which is a heavy metal and some contain iodine, which is possibly why they state thyroid health as a benefit. As we know iodine should be avoided unless you know for sure you are deficient.

well it’s working, so that’s all that matters.l to me 👍 I know it’s not collagen in the sense that it is synthetic. But to be honest I wouldn’t go anywhere near marine collagen due to the disgusting conditions the fish are raised in and bobine collagen isn’t very well utilised by human cells.

I take it and find it beneficial. Stir it into my muesli :)

My nails were in terrible condition before I began taking collagen. I had some improvement, but did not see total elimination of vertical splitting until I began taking porcine collagen I have only found one brand available in the US from BulkSupplements.com
