Hi, I have been taking Mercury Pharma Liothyronine for years but the pharmacy has closed.

I can get Accord Heathcare brand but would like to know if anyone has any feedback about this brand?

Thanks in advance,

Sandra

Mercury Pharma hasn’t gone

But it is now listed in many pharmacies as Advanz

Oh crikey, just saw Accord 🙄, I need to go to Specsavers!

WelshDragon39 I'm sorry to have misled you, I have deleted my post so as not to cause confusion.

WelshDragon39,

I am trying to establish exactly what Accord are supplying.

They are not being very helpful!

We think that it is Morningside Liothyronine. We are not certain whether the packaging is as Morningside or as Accord.

There is extra confusion as Accord actually hold a product licence for their own formulation of liothyronine. But we suspect they do not actually market that!

Am literally waiting for their next reply.

Did you mean

“own formulation of liothyronine “

Yes - I did! And have now edited.

(For me, almost any typo in "liothyronine" almost always tries to correct it to "levothyroxine". Despite me having added "liothyronine" to my local dictionaries. But still my fault!)

Accord have confirmed the liothyronine product they supply is PL 20117/0270 which is the Morningside product.

lots of people do really well on Morningside (Accord brand), but I did not due to gastric issues. It’s worth a try if you can’t immediately get hold of Mercury (Advantz). 🤞🏻

Apologies for the delayed response, as I am currently hosting out-of-town company. I can't help much, as I don't live in the UK; rather order my Liothyronine Sodium 25 MCG tablets (Cytomel generic) from a pharmacy in the US. These tablets can be split, so that I can tailor my dosage according to my needs.

I would warmly recommend any of Paul Robinson's books; the first, Recovering withT3 - My Journey from Hypothyroidism to Good Health Using the T3 Thyroid Hormone, set me on my journey. His website, paulrobinsonthyroid.com, is another useful source of information.

So wishing you well,
