Hi all, I have just had a full panel done, the results are attached, was wondering what are your thoughts. Does this suggest Hashimoto's?I'm going to book in with an integrated Dr. but have had an awful day today, aching all over. Hope you can read it.

As you may be able to see yourself the words and numbers are illegible.

You can type everything out or re photograph the sheet in 2 parts and attach to a reply to your post here. You may need to write a couple of words to make it be able to post with the photograph.

Can you repost your results? I can't read the picture, it's distorted when I zoom in.

Only just. Could you remove the clinic name and perhaps photograph it in 2 parts?

Blood tests

Both your antibodies are negative so in this test you are negative for Hashi's but could test positive on a different day as antibodies fluctuate.

Your FT3 is terribly low as is your FT4.

Free T4 (fT4) 14.3 pmol/L (12 - 22) 23.0%

Free T3 (fT3) 3.7 pmol/L (3.1 - 6.8) 16.2%

You really need a Levo increase if you could persuade your GP?

Ferritin, D3 & B12 look good.

Folate is too low. What are you taking for that?

It may still be worth trying a strictly gluten free diet to see if it helps symptoms. A percentage of people with Hashi's are seronegative - never have positive antibodies.

Many thanks for your reply Jaydee, I'm not on Levo or any thyroid meds. My GP didnt agree and wouldn't refer me. Hence the private test. I am already gluten free. I think part of the problem is, as I understand it, that the antidepressants I take Clomiprimine can cause low thyroid output. I have needed this med to get off diazapam (stopped it on 1st March), without the really bad withdrawal symptoms. I'm hoping to withdraw from Clomiprimine over the next year.

I see. Your thyroid levels are low but whether anyone would treat you or just wait until you can get off the meds is another thing.

Are you taking any supplements at the moment? Just wondering why your B12 is high.

You would benefit from a folate supplement. We usually recommend a B complex to keep all the B's in balance.

Thanks Jaydee, I haven't been able to tolerate the B vitamins during withdrawal, but might try a small amount again and see how I get on.

Not what you're looking for?
