Are you taking T3 now or not

Was test done early morning and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test

When were vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 last tested

As you have Hashimoto’s are you on strictly gluten free diet and/or dairy free diet

50 each day.

Not taking T3 anymore.

Test done 6pm no medication taken for 30 hours before

Vitamin D etc all good

Not on any particular diet

How long have you been on just 50mcg levothyroxine

Last dose levothyroxine should be 24 hours before test

Suggest you retest again in 6 weeks

including vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 if not tested within 6 months

Request coeliac blood test BEFORE trialing strictly gluten free diet

Ferritin better at least over 70

Request full iron panel test for anaemia

High ferritin due to inflammation from autoimmune disease can hide how low iron might be

Hair loss common with low iron
