I'm not sure anyone knows what the causes are. Even people without thyroid problems can have nodules.

Are your nodules causing you problems? Either because they are too large and affect your breathing/swallowing, or because they are hormone secreting and sending you hyper? If not, why do you want to get rid of them? The vast majority of nodules are harmless and you wouldn't even know you had them without an ultrasound scan. :)

For those that have tried natural remedies and have reported back they have not had success of shrinking nodules.  Many research & articles on the subject report the same.

There some limited evidence a spirulina-curcumin-Boswellia combination can reduce thyroid nodules.

ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articl... Unless affects surrounding structures (voice, swallowing or breathing) or affect functions they are usually not treated.

I have a large solitary hyper functioning nodule, I take an anti thyroid medication to lower thyroid levels.
