Gp surgery prescription

OMG... 🤯🤯Just spoke to a young lady on our prescription line, explained to her about my thyroid meds mix up been taking the wrong amount of T3 for about 7/8days my fault, hence the awful blood results may 2nd,.. explained that all she needs to do is inform the gp of this blunder and reinstate my 25mg (he as left me on 10mg T3 one per day I have no thyroid)

Also how could he stop my 25mg without speaking to an endo?

Well she went off on a tangent, first you never had 20s...WHAT I've been taking 20s for 9wks then increase to 25mg after my bloods showed hypo.. NO we gave you 4 boxes of 5s to take 25mg..🤯.. I note you couldn't get 10s.

Yes I said the pharmacy said they couldn't get them so I went on 20s then trilated up to 25mg..

MY GOD WHAT'S SO HARD FOR THIS WOMAN TO UNDERSTAND!!!

receptionist.. "So we gave you a box of 10s about 10 days ago containing 28 tablets"

Yes you did to which I'm taking( 2) 10/10 making 20mg Still short on 5s tho.. 🙄

Receptionist.. "just take the 10s then until you speak to the gp on may 23rd 🤯

Me.."I will have no thyroid meds left by then"

"yes you will there's 28 in the box"

Fgs... I take 2 10s I've already used 2 strips up I've 2 strips left now🤯

And if they do last me the next 4 days it takes up to 7/ 14 days for my pharmacy to order them in🤯 they are lactose free tablets not on the pharmacy shelf 🤯🤯 eventually she said "OK I'll get this message to a gp" hallelujah... I now need to go and lie down in a dark room.. 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯

Well done for sticking with it. What makes me so cross is why are we having to explain these things to UNQUILIFIED people who have no idea of the consequences of their actions! And now the Government want to “train up” more unqualified people to put more barriers between us and those who are supposed to know what they are doing!

I’ve been where you are now and was even struck off one GP surgery for supposedly arguing with a stuck up receptionist when I was actually following her instructions!🤦‍♀️

Can relate to that, one gp told me to leave the appointment as he just wouldn't listen to me, he kept telling me incorrect parathyroid results, I had the new results in my hand from my last printout.I placed the results in front of him and firmly pointed at the new bloods showing over range 😠 he still wouldn't listen or even look at the printout just pushed it away saying "your last bloods done in September 2021 show normal... I said yes but these are from Dec 2021 and are abnormal.. He then told me to leave... Arrogant or what!!

I managed to get a ultrasound scan privately (son paid❤️) which flagged up a nodule on the left side where the throbbing is, now waiting to see an endocrinologist in Liverpool for a pet scan 👍
