Hello all...does anyone have any advice or guidance please on whether taking collagen supplements is a good/bad idea alongside thyroid meds? My skin and hair are terribly dry and I was wondering if they might help. But I'm about worried about including them in the regime if there are contraindications....
Thanks for any wisdom you can share.

I used to have the same issue and being dairy intolerant and not a great meat eater I have been using these for the last 8 months.... I had to get my hair cut, layered and thinned last week as the amount and thickness of it was driving me nuts 😂🙄
Amino acids are the building blocks for so many things including collagen and I really wasn't getting a great deal of protein.... wouldn't be without now, no side effects or issues 🤗
Wow, that's impressive. There is so much I am still just learning. Will look into them, thank you.
You need to take 'Pure Collagen' either marine based or grass fed bovine. Make sure the collagen sourced by beef was not fed with antibiotics and hormones commonly used in U.S farming practices, this will affect your thyroid. I have collagen powder, however, I'm terrible at taking tablets and supplements, so I haven't give it a thorough go yet. I bought it to try and help with bone density loss, as well as hair and nails. I suppose it's like everything, you have to give it time to see effective results. My GP told me it is all hype and not to waste my money, but many GP's don't believe in anything if not sourced from the Big Pharma. Worth a try!!
