hi- guidance for GPS to request increase in levo

hi everyone- I saw a post referring to advice to show GPs to advocate for increase in levo. I remember it suggesting recommender TSH levels and T3 which look lower than typical ones my GP uses. If I can get anywhere near my GP this would be helpful. I rubbish at trying to save posts to find stuff again.

im on alternate 75/100g levo and my last nhs test (done at 9.45am after fasting levo for 24 hrs etc) showed TSH above 1,5 but below 2 (haven’t got in front of me) but I just assumed at time ‘oh well, I guess that means he’ll say no to more!).

I’m still fatigued, very anxious about maintaining job (single parent etc etc) time off frequently and very frustrated employer, , muscle burning in morning, exhausted in evenings- it’s no life is it! But realise I’ve gotta get a grip and stop hoping some angel will wave a wand for me and sort out all my health problems- it’s easy for me to say ‘oh tomorrow I’ll ring GP’ - I need a kick up the arse to get out of my wallowing! Have a lovely day everyone

Aww.... It's hard to fight when the nature of under treated hypothyroidism makes that so much harder.Yes to taking the reigns though.... I found it was the only way to get well. GP certainly couldn't do it.

But fear not there is great advice in here to guide you.

I was a single parent too with no one to shore me up, 2 children to support & a mortgage to pay, job to keep, hold on to..... It was vital I got to grips with my health... it was books at first till the Internet got going properly & that's when I finally could source the info I needed, though books helped too. My children are both in their mid 30's now.....

So hang in there, don't give up. The extra effort you have to make to optimise your thyroid treatment will be worth it. Xx

thank you so much- it can feel very isolating when no one at work or friends have a clue what you’re going on about and prob think you’re just exaggerating. My boys have been great although I feel awful when I’m bed often at wends to catch up on rest x

If you have enough spare why not just increase to 100mcg a day and see how you feel, this is what I did and then at a later review I fessed up and they changed my script 😏

Hello Midlake , I'm not quite understand question. But if u think u need a higher dose of Levothyroxine, have a online test to see if u do , with Thyroid Company. Also for Anxiousness , try Ashwanga vitamin .its so good for that. Also Dr izabella Wentz , look her up . Does lots of Vits for Thyroid. X
