Help with results

Hello Everyone,

This is my latest set of bloods from the GP. I have just realised I had them drawn in the afternoon, so it would have been after my Thyroxine dose whch I remember now is not ideal.

I am on 175mcg thyroxine (have been Hashi since I was 18, 20 years ago). I started LDN in Feb this year.

I have lost 7 or 8 kg in the last couple of months. This coincides with my wife telling me she wants to divorce so stress will be playing into it. But I feel like I am overdosed.

What are folks' thoughts? My sense is the T4/T3 ratio is high (maybe due to bloods at 3pm at thyroxine at 8am?)

All thoughts appreciated, thank you.

Bloods at 9am is to help TSH be as high as possible. Yours is suppressed so less relevant although consistency is good to make comparisons between results. Your FT4 will be falsley raised as you took Levo recently before the test.

Basically your FT3 is scraping the bottom of the reference range so you are a poor converter.

When were last full vitamin tetsts run? What were the results?

What supplements do you take?

You can email info@thyroiduk.org for a list of T3 friendly Endo's both private and NHS.

I'm also on 120mg fexofenedine

4.5 ml LDN

Multivitamins are not recommended in this group for a number of reasons, including being too low a dose to raise levels to optimal, including iodine which is not recommended when hypo and including iron which prevents absorption of the other vitamins and should be taken apart from other vitamins/Levo.

You will no doubt have lingering symptoms until you manage to raise your FT3.

You need to retest early morning, last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test

Essential to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 at least once a year

What vitamin supplements do you currently take

For good conversion of Ft4 to Ft3 we need good vitamin levels

As you have Hashimoto’s are you on, or tried gluten free or dairy free diet?

Which brand of levothyroxine do you take

Do you always get same brand levothyroxine at each prescription

Thank you Slow Dragon.

Yes, I am GF and DF and that helps everything overall.

175mcg TEVA UK ltd - I think it's been the same brand for years

I have good vitamin levels - and have worked with a very good functional nutritionist the last few years to get my supplements balanced.

We're doing a Thryoid profile and heavy metals testing with Regenerus next week in fact - and noted re all the testing protocol/timing!
