Thyroid results
Yes they may still cause symptoms. TSH is too high and FT4/FT3 too low for most hypo patients.
The aim of a treated hypo patient on Levo only, generally, is for TSH to be 1 or lower with FT4 and FT3 in the upper part of their ranges if that is where you feel well. If you are symptomatic then you are undermedicated and need an increase in your dose of Levo,.25mcg now and retest in 6-8 weeks.
Did you follow our advice for testing:
* Test no later than 9am
* Nothing to eat or drink except water before the test
* Last dose of Levo 24 hours before the test
* No biotin or B Complex or any supplement containing Biotin for 3-7 days before the test
Hi SeasideSusie thanks for your reply ,i don't really understand much about my thyroid but my doctors will just say that everything is fine so they probably won't allow me to put up my levo ,I will definately speak to them about it though .
So, maybe time to learn what you can so you can advocate for yourself and not let your doctors keep you ill, I expect you don't feel particularly good with those levels and that's why you have made this post.

Use what information you need to negotiate an increase in Levo. Only you can help yourself, your GP will be happy with any result that is anywhere within range regardless of how you feel.
That's exactly it ,because my results are always in range ,they say its good but its definately not and I'm stuck feeling so crap ,and now because I keep feeling so so tired and rubbish they have referred me to the sleep clinic to see if I have sleep apnea ,thanks for pointing this out to me ,because I'm definately not feeling good ,it makes me so depressed xx
