Are you on Twitter? There's an online poll connected to two professors debating whether "patients on levothyroxine treated hypothyroidism with symptoms should be treated with T3/T4 combination." You might like to vote now! It ends tomorrow

2 professors debating, and an online poll, on T3/T4 combination. Please vote!
I don't actually see a debate. I just see a poll.
Where are the professors actually doing their debating?
They are going to debate it, not happened yet. Not sure where, I didn't notice and must now go home.
I don't know if it's a virtual or face to face debate. But at least we patients can vote, for what it's worth! Since this was shared on various groups, the number voting 'FOR' has increased a lot. It's worth a go!
Thanks. There are some good comments on there. I hope they read them before they hold the debate.
Saw this poll yesterday and voted straight away. I've never had the opportunity to try T3 but I am sure it would make a difference.
Ooh… the results are certainly vastly different from the way they were yesterday when I first voted! I’m glad to see they’re now tilted in the right direction!
Nearly 89% for. As someone who sources t3 privately I know it makes an improvement to my energy and brain fog.

"Next, let's debate whether T3-lowering PTU medication should be prescribed to anti-T3 physicians with healthy thyroids who voted "against" this question.
If you vote to continue stealing T3 from thyroid-disabled people, you should see what it's like to have your own T3 stolen"

Hi TaraJR thanks for that. I deleted Twitter a while back but please let me know how that turns out.
You don't need a Twitter account to read public tweets.
Obviously you can't reply without an account, and I've noticed that Poll results are not visible either. But just reading is enough for me.
Thanks, I'll give it a try humanbean just checked out the comments and like big the outpouring of patient voices in favour of T3.
i just read them too cos i don't want to join twitter.. so i just went though Prof Wasim Hanif 's twitter page back as far as Nov to see what his interests are ( as he's the bloke who posted this poll )
and ..... his interests appear to be:
50% diabetes
30 % cricket
19.99% motor racing
0.01% thyroid ( this poll is the only mention of thyroid i could find )
Why is someone who plainly has 'bugger all' interest in the thyroid so interested in making a poll about whether thyroid patients should be allowed to try any T3 ........
"more cynical by the day i am "
I voted. Currently it stands at 91% in favour and 9% against.
Patients like us have made a huge difference in the voting. Let's see if any drs comment afterwards... The poll ends soon.
The poll ended this afternoon "debate patients on levothyroxine treated hypothyroidism with symptoms should be treated with T3/T4 combination"
Result... 91% in favour, 9% against.
Patients have had a great input into this 'poll', and have added numerous comments.
Hopefully at least some of the endos in the twitter thread will read them. I think they'll be surprised at the vote.

Thank you for this. It was a 'set debate' format then and they also put it on Twitter. I'd LOVE to hear the outcome of the actual debate.
Hopefully the poll result and comments will be seen, or shared, by participants to show the depth of feeling amongst patients.
Went down the rabbit-hole...
I can’t see where to vote? Just the results.
this is what the final results looks like for those that don’t have Twitter. Fab to hear there will be a debate for fun by endocrinologists. They can’t ignore the patient feedback here.
