Thyroid medication

Hello All.

Some time ago a GP gave me an incorrect Synthroid medication strength. That med. caused my right eye to protrude and turn to the right. On March 30th I'm having that corrected. Has anyone had a similar situation? That Dr. left for a bigger city. I was without a Dr. Finally another accepted me as a patient and all was well. Unfortunately the new Dr. has now left and I'm without a Dr. again. What a bother. Last time I needed Synthroid the pharmacist gave me enough meds for a month. She let me know that she would be unable to do that again

I think that it's time Northern Healthcare should increase their wages to encourage them to stay longer.

Were you under replace or over replaced?

Autoimmune issues are associated with thyroid eye disease but this is measured by TRab. TSH receptor antibodies.

The issue would be caused by the same autoimmune issue not related to your function levels, although lots of people report eye issues triggered or worsened by low or quickly fluctuating thyroid levels.

Are you levels at right level & stable now?

Somehow, someway....you must consider carefully whether Levo is really the right medicine for you - period. It often does not work well with autoimmune thyroid conditions. Without knowing your access to Dr.s who will help you find a natural source of thyroid hormone replacement (like the glandulars, NDT, Armour, etc.), again, these sources of thyroid hormone replacement are often much more gentle as they help us replace the lack of thyroid hormone.

Better yet, find the source of why your body is destroying the thyroid hormone you yourself make / source of autoimmunity. Sometimes it is more simple than one might think. I did not believe that the thyroid could be healed, because all of the Dr.s told me that. All except one or two. (Here in the US)

Here is one that has written reams of information on the thyroid and helped thousands. (I am one). He has a lot to say about different thyroid medications: drchristianson.com/blog/the...

Keep in touch and let us know how things go. This is a great place to find support.

I didn't find Armour NDT to be "gentler" at all but the synthetic hormone liothyronine saved my life.

I found NP Thyroid to be a nightmare for me. I am trying to get the right synthetic T4 and T3 combo for me right now.

I  don't know why Armour bother me so, grinding teeth, palpitations, insomnia. I take 40 mcg T3 only now and I'm fine.
