Hello Everyone,Many thanks for all your help and advice. I'm based in Ireland and have been taking NP Thyroid for the last year.
Unfortunately however, the price was always very expensive has recently more than doubled to around €150 or more per month for the dosage I am on depending on which pharmacy I get it from. So basically, it looks like I need to try to find an alternative more reasonably priced NDT that I can access from Ireland. Any advice would be very welcome please. Please private message me if you have any ideas. Sincere thanks in advance.

It seems the price of all NDT meds have increased dramatically over the last few years. I am in the U S and my husband and I both take Armour thyroid. My husband was on NP thyroid a few years ago, but his numbers were never quite right. So, his dr. switched him to Armour and his numbers all improved. At that time NP was priced much better then Armour. At that same time I was taking Thyroid S that I purchased through Thailand, cause my dr. wouldn't prescribe an NDT. Back then, Thyroid S, even with shipping was quite inexpensive compared to Armour. Fast forward and both Thyroid S and NP Thyroid are almost the same prices as Armour...maybe just slightly less. My new dr. will now prescribe Armour and since my husband has done better on it then NP, I decided to go with it. I checked with our pharmacy and NP was only a few dollars per month less then Armour. Same thing when I checked the new price of Thyroid S. Unfortunately our insurance will not pay for Armour, so we bite the bullet and purchase it ourselves.
Many thanks for your reply jjf255..Yes it's such a shame that the prices have gone up so much..Armour is still a fair bit more expensive here I think but I'll double check again just in case. It is interesting to hear that your husband found a big difference between Armour and NP Thryoid.. Food for Thought definitely..thank you. Someone messaged me with an alternative supplier to buy Thyroid S abroad but I have just read some other recent Posts from some other people stating there could be issues with this now to the UK at least..not sure about elsewhere. Best of luck with everything your side in any event
