Valerian

I have a blood test to check my thyroid levels on Wednesday 1st Feb.

I usually take Valerian because I don’t sleep well.

Will this affect the blood test in any way?

I've been taking it for many yrs and it has never affected my results. I take the valerian at 10pm and would do my blood around 730-8am

hi. Does the Valarian work for you ?

My sleep pattern , or lack of sleep, is awful .

GP has let me have ‘sleeping tablets’ sometimes but whilst they work I can’t get enough as they wonts supply, except very occasionally.

I realise it’s not the best idea to rely on them !

I started taking it a few days ago; my husband slightly longer. It definitely works for us both. It doesn’t help getting me to sleep but it helps me stay asleep when I wake for a pee. It’s worth trying!

Thank you so much for this. I have had a look and good read. There are so many interactions with valerian. Thankfully thyroid doesn’t seem to be one of them.
