Hi. I thought I’d seen posts here about the cost of liothyronine and I’ve searched but not having any luck. I was speaking to my pharmacist today and he’s telling me he doesn’t keep it in stock as it’s just too expensive. I thought I’d read about a reduction in the price recently. Can anyone help? TIA

20mcg gone up a little to £58.73
my private prescription was sent about a month ago from Uk pharmacist for £60 for 100 T3 tablets inclusive of p&p. Had gone up a bit as previously bought 200 tablets from same place for £100.
I bought Thybon 20 Henning, 30 tablets, for £22.95 last week from an online pharmacy on the thyroid uk list. My local pharmacy had quoted £200.
the RRP of my hubby’s diabetic tablets is double the cost of T3 in pharmacies. He never gets moaned at/comments.
I get my T3 online via uk pharmacy and my endo @ £60 per 100 like the other person who commented
T3 is now 80% less than it was at its height of c.£250 for 28 x 20mcg tablets, after the 6,000% price hike. It fell to £56 recently, but a slight rise again to £58.73
It is NOT patients' fault it's been expensive, but we are the victims in all this.
Make sure your dr and pharmacist know it's fallen dramatically, as many drs and ICBs (CCGs) think it's still much higher than it is.
