due a thyroid hormone test

having gone down with Covid this week and due next week to assess hormone levels. I would glad of any info as to how long I should wait to test .

I know it gave me an unusual outcome when I had the Covid vaccination earlier this year! It showed a high in range of t3 , only time ever. Can’t risk that!

We should leave a few weeks after any acute infection before testing. However, Covid is an unknown quantity and I don't think anyone can say for sure. Considering that the Pfizer booster played havoc with my thyroid levels and now 12 months later I'm still tweaking doses of Levo and T3 to try and get them back to their previous levels, I would imagine you might need to wait a fair bit of time for a true reading.

My endo is willing to help as GP wants to lower t4 to 50 mcg !

Based on TSH of course !

Guess I will have to wait .

What a shame about your experience . I was in the same boat ,

It so happened I did a test shortly after vaccination early in the year. Mine were also skewed as never before !
