You need FULL Thyroid and vitamin testing

TSH, Ft4 and Ft3, plus both TPO and TG thyroid antibodies tested

With other autoimmune diseases already, it’s essential to see if you also have autoimmune thyroid disease

vitamin D, folate, B12 and full iron panel test for anaemia including ferritin

Low vitamin levels are extremely common when hypothyroid ….regardless of how good (or poor) diet is.

This is because hypothyroidism leads to low stomach acid and poor nutrient absorption, with low vitamin levels as direct result

Low vitamin levels can mask thyroid issues, because low vitamin levels tend to lower TSH

very common to develop dairy intolerance and/or gluten intolerance with any autoimmune disease but especially autoimmune thyroid disease

U.K. medics rarely refer to autoimmune thyroid disease as Hashimoto’s

They only look at the subsequent hypothyroidism…..rather than the autoimmune aspect

Only do private testing early Monday or Tuesday morning.

Watch out for postal strikes, probably want to pay for guaranteed 24 hours delivery

Just a note on your description -B12 deficiency does not work like that, deficient and then okay. If it is not due to diet, it is an absorption issue that does not change with testing or supplementation.

appreciate you taking the time , so if deficient this affects the thyroid functionality and if affected the thyroid becomes multi nodule I am also have issues with low cortisol undergoing tests but on HC and FC much better on these

There could be many reasons for b12 deficiency due to absorption issues- Pernicious Anemia, H Pylori, tapeworm, Celiac. But yes hypothyroidism can bring low stomach acid which cause an absorption issue, which can mean low b12.

And getting folate, vitamin d, vitamin b12 & iron in order helps the function.

As for the nodules, I don't think they fully understand the whys and ins & outs in this moment in history. I had multinodular goitre and had a couple of rounds of FNA.I was content to do that as I had no interest in surgery. Then I almost drowned due to the constriction that two of them (size and placement) caused. I had swallowing issues but did not quite understand the oxygen deprivation until that moment. I am a strong swimmer so it was apparent very quickly that something was awry.

I used to read over my FNA reports & charts, and besides being thankfully benign I could not follow all the jargon of that and the ultrasound on them all. Otherwise I would try to help you out more. I know that when they become north of 4 cm the decisions become clearer. Due to the needle possibly missing a spot of cancer with its tip & more of a chance of partial blockage Two of mine were just shy of 4 cm and one more solid than mixed, but their placement made breathing and swallowing hard at times.

thank you of this I am aware unfortunately it’s the medical profession that can’t accept this . It’s how all this contributes to my thyroid and it’s functionality

Interesting read and you definitely need a full thyroid panel not just TSH and T4.
