I’ve just opened my Patient Access app and noticed that my test results have disappeared. Is it correct that my GP Practice can decide what I can see or should I be allowed to see those results? I came across some information that said they can decide but that was dated early 2021. I’m confused that up to now I’ve been able to view my blood tests and now I can’t. I’m not happy about this so before I ring my GP I thought I’d better check with you very knowledgeable members. 😊

Test results disappear on my Patient Access app
There was a post about this the other day. It might be they have vanished due to an update so you just need to phone surgery to get them reinstated.
yes the same happened to me last week and thought it was a backward step, but then yesterday i had a message from our surgery to say if i downloaded the NHS app and accessed via that then my results would be available which they are. I think several surgeries are in the process of transitioning over during november.
Always request a print-out of your results (with the ranges I hope) for your own records and you can post if you have a query.
This is the method to follow for blood tests:-
It is a fasting blood test (you can drink water) and always get the earliest possible appointment (maybe book a few weeks ahead) and do not take thyroid hormones until afterwards.
My GP practice doesn't allow any test results to be viewed by patients online. You have to ask for a printout at reception and you can't see any new test results until the GP has discussed them.with you.
This happened to me a couple of weeks ago when everything suddenly disappeared from my NHS app. However, I got a text from my practice later to say that access was being reviewed, and this seems to have been happening all over the country as GP practices are endeavouring to comply with Government regulations about patient access to results. I accessed my GP SystemOnline, went to the Manage Account section and requested full access to my record. A couple of days later I was messaged to say that this was now available, and I then saw that loads of info had been uploaded in bulk. I haven't had the time or inclination to check it all out as I currently only have a phone screen to work on, but I dud see that letters and suchlike are now visible which were not available before. If you have any queries about online patient results access, I would address them to your practice manager in the first instance.
How frustrating for you! I hope you can sort it without too much hassle. My issue is slightly different in that I transferred GPs after moving house. This was in May and the previous records still aren't available through the online system. The new GP says they will get transferred but won't say how long this could take! Has anyone else had this problem?
