I've not, though I signed all the papers to allow full access, the practice has made no mention of it either, whether they plan to block it or run with it... some people mentioned things being reviewed before release?
Has anyone noticed any difference in viewing me... - Thyroid UK
Has anyone noticed any difference in viewing medical records since the change on Nov 1st?
my particular surgery has posted details on the front page of their website.
Just had a troll around... no mention of it... Are yours implementing or blocking?
implementing. Have to have an online account. Rules seem to be same as for test results. I’ve not gone in (yet).
Interesting, I've had an online account for a couple of years, they often restrict supposedly available features like appointment making etc but it's handy for requesting prescriptions and asking questions 😉
yes I use (the current) for booking a timed appointment for GP to phone me, usually the following day or the Monday if it’s a Friday or during the weekend when I log in. It’s also a quick way of getting blood test results rather than using the receptionists who can already be overwhelmed or being told “you are number 13 in the queue”
The new expanded will not show hospital consultation details as far as I’m aware. Yes the GP content will be checked before release.
I've been out of the loop. What changed on 1st November?
1st November was a date NHS set as opening full access health records.
The requirements to set up access still exist & should not affect anyone with existing access
this post discusses it
Patients should be given full access to full medical records
I started to sign up for Patient Access, but when it came to choosing a service, I Googled which one to choose, found the reviews on Trust Pilot, and went no further. A friend of mine who did sign up with the service says that she still couldn't access her medical records.
I’ve used Patient Access for some time now to order meds - that is all it allows you to do. I the last month I have completed and signed 2 forms at the surgery request access to my records and, in particular, test results . Have had nothing from them but will be requesting again .
That's what I did a couple of years ago, they should send you log in details which should give you access, it was activated within a couple of days so I would chase up, my surgery uses systmonline, I don't know if that's nationwide or they choose their own system? Not sure if Patient Access will replace what we already have? As usual it's all a bit wooly 😳
I get the feeling that completing and signing the form is just a door to a black hole ! I shall keep asking . It’s like pulling teeth getting copies of my blood test results / I often have to go back more than once. On one occasion I stood in front of the receptionist and had to insist on every page being printed - it was weird.
The Partient Access interface is very limited - but what really annoys me are the emails I get flogging private services .
I have the NHS app but know see hospital appts? How do you access results ?
Should give access to GP records if they have processed your request, don’t think is does hospital records yet, though this is what is supposed to be happening from 1st Nov
Seeminly in Wales they dont have to do this... I asked for my hospital records from one hospital I attended earlier in the year, and had to send them a photo of me to confirm who I was, but as they did not have a photo of me, I am not sure how this worked! I was so tempted to send a pic of one of my sheep.
A CD of results came through after 40 days, but it was put in an ordinary envelope with no protection and was broken in two...
The only thing I can do online is reorder prescriptions, but even then this is not updated and some drugs are not listed.
The practice has a fax number, but no email. I may buy a pigeon.
