I posted about two weeks ago about the same thing and when I complained I got no reply.
I have no thyroid and was taking them perfectly for over seven years. I bought two lots and started falling over and felt very unwell. Please see my post. I am now trying to sort out my life with Levo plus T3. Falling over is not good I am 76 years old.
Interesting as I think we have had batch TA21076 mentioned before as a problem ?
Can you complete the number of the new batch number you about to try so others might be able to give you a thumbs up ?
I've been taken Thyroid S for around 5 years now without any issues - though have just received batch TA 22012 - 24/02/22 - 24/02/25 is this the one you are about to try ?
I know one other person taking 22012 and she says she's doing fine but that they tasted sweeter. This is such a worry if individual batches are so different. Have you reported this to Sriprasit? In my experience they do check things and reply quickly.
Actually I'm editing this to say that MapleMoose also posted about the batch you have, under Brightness14's post which I'll link to below.
These reports make me think of the time that Armour changed it's formula slightly by increasing the cellulose (I think) in about 2009. It meant that some people were fine but others suddenly couldn't absorb it any more, or they couldn't utilise it properly. I forget the exact details of how the cellulose caused the problem, but those people quickly became very hypo, whereas others carried on as normal. The question to ask Sriprasit is therefore, have they altered the proportion of cellulose in any way.
It's weird. The first, very weak, bottle of 22012 was very much less sweet than I was used to. The second, which seems to be a bit stronger, was sweeter, but not as sweet as 21076. It seems to vary from bottle to bottle.
Funny I'm on 22012 and feel great but I also chew tablets and let them desolve a little before swollowing. They do taste a little sweet though, which batch has the greener tablets?
Thanks - I've been taking notes and have 3 different batches 21076 / 21079 / 22006 - though with just singular forum members complaining at the moment, whilst others feel fine on the same batch it's difficult to draw any conclusion on anything.
I'm in a WhatsApp group originally started when it was difficult to find any Thyroid-S, but now we also tend to discuss various batches and how we feel on them - sad life really 😂 So I'm also comparing what's said there with here. 21079 has definitely been commented on.
Currently on TA22006 and am OK, but thanks for the warning.
Hi. I'm on this exact batch, TA22012 as you. A week into taking it, I started to get a pressure headache which increased so badly, I ended up having to go to hospital as I thought I was either having a stroke or a haemorrhage. My blood pressure also rose to dangerous levels. After lots of tests bar a brain scan, I was told it could only be the NDT and was told to come off it immediately and see what happened. I did, and after two weeks it slowly subsided. This was 2 months ago. I since have tried Levo/T3 and T3 only, but have still had issues with headaches (not quite so severe) and fatigue. I think the T3 is the issue, but as I don't do that well on T4 only, I need to add some. My blood tests done just after taking this batch was fine, with mid range T4, and upper range T3. Since coming of Thyroid S, my levels are really low and barely in range. I am starting to gain weight and I have fatigue most of the time. This week, I thought I'd trial Thyroid S again in a small dose. I took 1.5 grains yesterday and had a bad headache again. It subsided as the day went on. Today I have taken 1/2 grain and I will see how I feel. I contacted the manufacturer about the ingredients previously but had no response, which is questionable in itself. How are you getting on now, are you still trialling the batch?
Did you write to the manufacturer? The more of us who do this the better. I got a reply saying they would check my order number, then nothing, despite having been reminded.
Hiya. After several months of feeling deathly, I started again by coming of everything for a while, then started introducing the batch no. TA22012 very slowly. I am now on 2 1/4 grains and feeling a lot better. I think my issues have been combined with hormonal changes as I'm in the menopause. I cannot pin point why I was getting crippling headaches and fatigue, I just knew I had to start from scratch with my levels lowered so I could slowly build up again and monitor things along the way. I am so relieved that things are working now as Thyroid S is my only viable option. I am just dreading having to buy another batch when I run out as TA22012 is no longer available and I only buy 500 at a time just in case they don't work. Regarding the manufacturer, they do not adequately reply or answer questions, like declaring the specific ingredients, which is rather unethical, and they won't refund either. It's operating practices like this which gives the NHS ammunition to be skeptical of this type of medication.
