Does anyone adjust their dose when stressed?

Me again!

I have found I am very sensitive to stress and often find I get much more hypo when under any amount of stress.

Does anyone adjust their dose according to stress? I was doing OK on my previous dose of 50mcg levo and 105mg NDT but I'm flagging.

I just wondered if anyone else faced the same issue?

I don’t adjust my thyroid medication with stress, but do ensure I take my magnesium, vit D3/ K2 and B Complex. I also use Bach ‘rescue remedy’ (essential oils) to alleviate panic symptoms.

No!

Perhaps you first need to establish if something biological ( eg your medication) is the cause of your stress or if your stress is the result of your lifestyle !

You do have a lot going on, so... I certainly flag if I overdo things.

2 days ago you wrote ...

I currently take 50mg levo and 60mg Erfa in the morning and 45mg Erfa at bedtime. (105mg NDT)

But today you write....

I was doing OK on my previous dose (31/8/22)of 50mcg levo and 105mg NDT but I'm flagging.

Has your lifestyle changed since August?

What exactly is the situation.... when did you start flagging and how much hormone are you now taking ..today?

If I'm reading your spread sheet correctly you were taking 5mcg Levo with 20mg NDT on 13/6/22.....is that a typo?

On that dose your FT3 was 119% through the ref range which suggests something is amiss and you were overmedicated

Then after 9 weeks on 50mcg levo with 105mg NDT...

FT3 was at 45% through ref range....

Perhaps you can clarify those labs, because if FT3 was/is over range and that would likely cause anxiety and stress....but the dose you state is at odds with the labs so something there is amiss.....unless I've got the wrong end of the stick.

Without establishing the facts here it's difficult to be sure.....your system has suffered overload. It may not be your hormone dose

BUT.....if FT3 has fallen so dramatically from 119% to 45% then low T3 may be the cause.

Sorry, but are those entries correct?

What may have caused that drop?

Stress and over exersion can lower hormone levels so causing more stress

Bach rescue remedy helped me cope during a life threatening family illness ( now resolved) as did a mug of Camomile tea....and some dark chocolate!!

Be kind to yourself and try to slow down
