Almost all UK medicines are gluten-free (and when they are not, it is usually very obvious).
Accord is not lactose-free.
We have two lactose-free makes available - Teva and Aristo.
helvella - Thyroid Hormone Medicines
I have created, and try to maintain, a document containing details of all thyroid hormone medicines in the UK and, in less detail, many others around the world. It is sectioned by UK - rest of the world, and by T4, T3, desiccated thyroid, etc.
And do keep up to date. I edit it frequently- sometimes trivially, sometimes extensively. If your copy is more than a few weeks old, please download it again. (You must download - not just view in a browser- for the Table of Contents to work.)
Thanks, its quite infuriating when I have explained each time that i need Teva because of lactose intolerance. Very sloppy service, change of pharmacy on the cards 🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸
you will be lucky if you get a pharmacy that will give you all the same brand it's 50 of one brand and 25 of another I have to ask for a prescription for 50s and a separate one for 25s and take them to two different pharmacy's
Oh dear, i will have a chat with my pharmacy this afternoon and ask them why this keeps happening, they readily swap the accord to Teva when returned.
Accord made me so glurky, felt dreadful. Only took it for 48 hours. Sore mouth itchy lips, swollen tongue, raw throat burps, gurgles and diarrhoea. I had to change pharmacy to get Teva. Took 3 days with daily harassment of GP surgery to get it resolved. Also had to return the Accord to prove I wasn’t just hoarding hormones 🙈 it’s worth battling. Pharmacy are usually quite helpful just slow at GP end.
