I understand there is a link between the two if T3 is low it can cause high Cholesterol which is where I am at? I have requested a private blood test but my GP has refused to acknowledge these in the past. How have others managed to obtain T3 if required without spending hundreds of pounds? I could maybe stretch to a couple of appointments with a private endo but that’s about it! It’s just so scary and frustrating because I really don’t want to be forced onto Statins if as I suspect my T3 is low (which it has been on a private test in the past). Would love to hear how others have managed to get the T3 they need in the UK?

Nobody can 'force' you onto statins. If you don't want them, you don't take them. End of. Your doctor may prescribe them but there's no law to say that you have to take everything he prescribes.
If you're worried that your high cholesterol will affect your health in some way, then don't be. High cholesterol is a symptom, not a disease. It will not hurt you. It doesn't cause heart attacks or strokes as doctors claim.
If you want to buy T3 on-line, without a prescription, just ask that people PM you their trusted sources. But, first, it would be a good idea to get full thyroid testing done privately. You don't need a private endo for either of these things. Details of private tests here:
Looking at your previous post, your TSH 2 weeks ago was above the range. There's really no need to be thinking about adding T3 until you have exhausted treatment possibilities with Levothyroxine. You clearly need probably several dose increases of levo at this point.
You need to take charge and advocate for yourself. Make an appointment to discuss your most recent results and demand a dose increase. Explain to them how unwell you are. If one doctor turns you down then try a different one at the same practice.
