Any ideas how I can juggle taking Gaviscon Advance 3/4x a day while taking Levo & T3? I currently take all Levo and 7.5mcg t3 at 5am, 5mcg t3 at 11am and 2.5mcg t3 at 5pm. If I need to leave 4 hours either side of taking GA, that’s an impossible task. I’m supposed to take it after meals and at bedtime. Also, has anyone found a PPI that doesn’t interfere with absorption? I wasn’t happy on omeprazole.

I'm just wondering why you need quite so much Gaviscon + a PPI? That's quite an amount to be taking and so often. When my reflux was really bad once a day was enough.
That’s what the doctor suggested - but that was without a PPI. I have an upper GI scheduled and think they’ll want me back on a PPI.
Just going by my own experience it sounds like overkill and your absorption of nutrients wouldn't stand a chance. personally I'd try the minimum to control symptoms. I actually now use apple cider vinegar with good effect.
Its very tricky juggling times for meds. I stopped taking omeprazole and gaviscon as my thyroid was going haywire. Im trying to find out a diet that suits my stomach and stops acid production. Sorry I couldnt advise you but good luck.
In addition to 50yg Levi, I take 75yg of
thyrovanz sublingual wher it is absorbed
into the system by mucous membrane
osmosis. Get my T1.2,3 and 4 by this
method, irrespective of time.
