high thyroid antibodies confirms autoimmune thyroid disease also called Hashimoto’s
Did you know you have Hashimoto’s?
How much vitamin D were you taking?
Obviously needs increasing
Aiming for vitamin D at least around 80nmol minimum
B12 and folate on low side, especially as you have been supplementing
What vitamin B complex
Have you been taking separate B12 too?
Ferritin is also on low side
Are you on strictly gluten free diet
If not get coeliac blood test done before considering trial for 3-6 months
Thank you - Regular doctors & specialists never confirmed Hashimoto but I thought so, even though coeliac tested negative…
Current supplements:
> Vitamin D3 - 62.5 ug
> Vitamin B complex which has B12 50 ug
> Ferrous sulfate 200mg
> MagCitra
Not been taking folate. Will start strictly gluten free and will try half/half dose Levothyroxine.
only make one change at a time
Either try splitting levothyroxine or trial strictly gluten free diet
vitamin D dose is obviously too low though it’s equivalent of 2500iu
Suggest you try Better you mouth spray or drops at 4000iu and retest in 2-3 months
Which vitamin B complex are you currently taking
Thank you and will do - I use Terra Nova and trying to find the post from SeasideSusie as she recommended also brands.
SeasideSusie always recommends Thorne vitamin B complex
In week before blood test, when you need to stop vitamin B complex, you might want to consider taking a separate methyl folate supplement and separate B12
Sooo many vitamin brands…
Does seem that Terranova B-Complex (take1 per day) & Terranova Beauty (take 2 per day) provide enough? Slightly confusing as some use mg?
And apparently some people got Thorne analysed and lower then they claim, whilst others say it’s too strong for them…
Have you heard of Weightworld?

FT4: 19.3 pmol/l (Range 12 - 22)
Ft4 is good at 73.00% through range
FT3: 4.03 pmol/l (Range 3.1 - 6.8)
But Ft3 is low at 25.14% through range
Getting vitamins optimal and trialing strictly gluten free diet next steps
Always get same brand levothyroxine at each prescription
Retest after another 6-12 weeks
If ft3 still low and under 50-60% thorough range likely to need addition of T3 prescribed alongside levothyroxine
As a separate experiment……could try splitting levothyroxine as half dose waking and half dose at bedtime
