I have recently posted my daughters blood test results , she is 32 and has been taking Armour for a good 10 years . She really needs to increase her dose ( taking 2 grains a day ) She is under medicated looking at blood results ,, low T3 ,and is very tired , gaining weight !
The price of Armour has rocketed and is not available on Nhs , increasing the dose will just be too expensive to sustain !
How do GPS , view changing to T3 ?
she did no respond well to levo , was unable to work !
I would appreciate your advice ! Thanking you in advance

Val, A GP cannot start a patient off on T3. The first step has to be with an endocrinologist. If you want to get T3 on the NHS then it must be an NHS endo not a private one.
The endo supervises the patient while on a trial of T3 - the trial is usually for 3 to 6 months. If after that period the endo deems the trial a success they write to the patient's GP to continue with the T3 prescription.
She has seen Endos over the years Nhs and privately ,, when Armour was prescribed ! He used to prescribe a months worth ,, was expensive ,, so found this other source on rec from Tuk . this as I said is rising every time order placed !
