My T4 was 17.6 in 7.50 - 20 range and my TSH was 0.02 and T3 was 5.2 in 3.68-6.9 range. Recently I have had sleep problems unable to fall asleep and then only sleeping 4 hours. Flushing and sweaty not only in the heat. What is going on. Has anyone any advice.

was test done early morning, ideally just before 9am and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test

Do you always get same brand levothyroxine at each prescription

Do you normally take levothyroxine waking or bedtime or do you split as two smaller doses waking and bedtime

What vitamin supplements are you currently taking

When were vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 last tested

Presumably you have autoimmune thyroid disease?

Usually diagnosed by high thyroid antibodies

Are you on gluten free diet or dairy free diet

FT4: 17.6 pmol/l (Range 7.5 - 20)

Ft4 80.80% through range

FT3: 5.2 pmol/l (Range 3.68 - 6.9)

Ft3 only 47.20% through range

Shows poor conversion rate of Ft4 to Ft3

To try to improve conversion

Improving low vitamin levels

Trying gluten free/dairy free

Trying splitting levothyroxine dose as two smaller doses

Retest in another 6-8 weeks
