Wow - just what I expected. Called the secretary this morning about my appointment, last time I called was 30 June (still no app) - did speak to consultant who said a follow up app week after he back ( away for 2 weeks) for blood results. So, as I had received no correspondence today was the day I decided to call as outpatients apps are a Monday - so it should have been in for 18 July.
She said there was nothing on the system. I informed of the information above. She said central appointments deal with this, yet in past said she does review apps - which I said to her - which she denied. Central appointments said secretary does this
I was told they are short staffed, also.
She said she would message the consultant - I asked if I would get an app today - she said I should
I don’t have much hope
Anyway I have emailed the lady from PALS who dealt with another patients results on my record as I think this needs sorting properly.
I hate doing things like this - as I know how overstretched the nhs are and how hard they work - but what else can I do ? I can’t keep going on like this about appointments it’s additional stress and having to deal with this seemingly incompetent secretary
