I have my endo appointment tomorrow! With the info from here and from here and SeasideSusie I may have central hypothyroid I was reading a post by SlowDragon which mentioned a pituitary condition called Sheehan syndrome. I had a haemorrhage post delivery that resulted in blood transfusion but that was 32 years ago, then again 30 years ago, could this be related? is it worth mentioning tomorrow, my endo has a special interest in the pituitary…. But I don’t want to come across like a know it all !

I don't know enough about Sheehan syndrome to be able to comment, if humanbean is around or SlowDragon they may be able to help.
Hi
I suspect I had this with my second pregnancy. Due to life threatening complications due to preclampsia I was part of a clinical trial into low dose aspirin in my subsequent pregnancy. The birth was long, very difficult and my son was very large, over 10Ibs.
I bled so much afterwards as the placental site was huge. I had to go on a drip. And then 4 weeks later I had another haemhorrage due to a retained placenta. I never produced a drop of milk despite wanting to breastfeed really badly. Low dose aspirin is used as a blood thinner in those at risk of clots and strokes.
My hypothyroid isn't autoimmune and I often wonder if my pituitary got damaged in some way. Hope you get some answers. I'd be interested in what your Endo has to say.
Gently guiding the Endo is the way.... You have read a bit about something called Sheehan syndrome, have you pronounced this right? Does he know anything about it to help you understand it? Is there a test?
I know it goes against the grain, but if they think they are imparting their god like knowledge on you, rather than you knowing anything, it gets you further (unless they are completely ignorant!). Just my experience.
