I've felt we'll medicated taking a combination of t4 and t3 for year's now. Last year I fell pregnant and heard T3 wasn't recommended so I stopped and unfortunately lost the baby (obviously don't know if this is really related). When I failed to gal pregnant again for a few months after I started taking T3 again. I'm pregnant again now and have done a bit more research and continued to take t3. Typically before pregnancy my TSH was 0.04 ( just had nhs tests) and ft4 was withing range albeit in the lower end. At 8 weeks my TSH rose to 3.8 so my t4 was increased and I kept t3 the same. Just tested again at 17 weeks and tsh is back down again to 0.05. Is a suppressed TSH OK still in pregnancy? I'm a bit nervous its such a massive swing

I am sorry to hear about your previous loss, but now big congratulations 👏
Pregnancy demands more thyroid hormone as you are providing for both baby’s & your own metabolic needs.
T3 meds will lower TSH anyway and may make assessing your dose more tricky but it is better TSH to be too low than too high, and thyroid hormone demand will continue to increase until around 12 weeks anyway.
Thanks radd, that's good to hear. I was a little bit reassured when my tsh rose earlier on in the pregnancy as I knew my body just be working hard to grow the baby but seeing it go back down so much again now worries me A little . I'm 17 weeks now though so maybe the baby is just relying on me less?
