I have hypothyroidism and this week my throat feels tight and feels like my thyroid is enlarged , my voice is weak and strained and I have a slight pain going to both my ears from the throat , no sign of throat infection and temperature is normal . Do you think this could be a flare up with my thyroid .

The swollen throat or feeling as if “being strangled” is a steadily reported sensation mentioned on this forum. Many return and say they were under replaced and adequate levels resolved it.
It make sense as the thyroid is straining to make up the low levels, once at the right levels that doesn’t occur.
Alternatively… it’s a bug of some kind. In the last week I’ve had pretty much all of the symptoms you’ve just described. And I tested positive for COVID on Saturday… 😩😩😩
I’ve tested negative for covid , no temp . It feels like a lump in my throat and my voice is weak and strained , got bloods due so will see what turns up on those

Request/politely insist that they test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 as well as thyroid
Have you had thyroid antibodies tested at any point in past
90% of primary hypothyroidism is autoimmune thyroid disease also called Hashimoto’s usually diagnosed by high thyroid antibodies
Book early morning test, ideally before 9am and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test
Work out which brand levothyroxine suits you best and try to always get that brand
