Dose increase, weight loss and TSH level ?!

I battled to get an increase to 125mcg.

Results on 100mcg -

TSH - 1.34 mu/L (0.27 - 4.2) - April 22

T4 - 16.4 pmol/L (12 - 22) - April 22

T3 - 4.8 pmol/L (3.1 - 6.8) - April 22

Previous results on 75mcg -

TSH - 2.21 mu/L (0.27 - 4.2) - Jan 22

T4 - 16 pmol/L (12 - 22) - Jan 22

T3 - 5.3 pmol/L (3.1 - 6.8) - Jan 22

I increased myself to 125mcg 4 weeks ago. GP finally agreed and put it on prescription last week. I've lost 6lb in 4 weeks. I had gained 2.5 stone before diagnosis. I'm starting to worry my TSH will be suppressed. All my GP is concerned about is my TSH and then he'll take my extra 25 away again lol.

When should I test my levels after the increase? Will losing weight at the same time possibly mean I'll need to lower my dose?

GP wants me back in, mid to end of Sept to retest my TSH levels. Will testing myself after 8 weeks be accurate enough to know how the extra 25 mcg is doing? After this, could I lower it to 112.5mcg a day if my TSH is becoming too low and I'm worried GP will take it away again and see how that goes til NHS bloods in Sept? It's all so stressful as I actually feel way better on 125mcg. I'm starting to feel normal again but worried if I lose a fair amount of weight I'll need to lower it again. And it's so hard when fought so hard to get an increase I don't wanna lose it again lol

Best to take that test as early in the morning as possible. My TSH starts to drop low after the morning. Sorry to say, but I've become somewhat of a master manipulator when it comes to handling the GP. It's all about making the GP feel as if they've done something spectacular to improve your situation. For example, when they walk into the room I'll put on a chipper face and when they ask how I feel my response will usually be "wow Dr. since YOU have increased my thyroid hormone all those terrible symptoms I was having are slowly going away and I'm so productive now! " Then I'll have a list of all the improvements written down so I can read them out. Next I'll remind the GP of all the bad symptoms I had that have now gone away since THEY increased it. It sounds laughable but it's always worked for me. How can a GP reduce your thyroid hormone when you've just listed all these positive things? I can't imagine bumping up to 125mcg would dramatically decrease your TSH. If you feel over medicated by your next visit you could say to the GP "What do you think about trying 112mcg per day?" I've been at this for 13 years on Levo and I've found that Doctors are easy to maneuver in the direction you want as long as you keep the conversation moving in a positive direction at the same time making it sound like they're the ones making the decision. HA HA
