I have recently been suffering with stiff tops of my feet! Sounds weird I know. But when I get up from sitting or getting up in the morning it takes a few steps for them to relax. I'm also suffering with my right shoulder. I'm not sure if this is thyroid related or I'm wondering if it's peri menopause. Has anyone else ever suffered with this?

This condition is common in hypothyroidism, and gets mentioned on the forum quite often. I had it for many years before thyroid treatment and it went completely after I improved my T3 levels quite dramatically.
Awww are your thyroid hormone levels optimal? Are the tops of your feet puffy? I know when I was under treated I had a lot of puffy swelling and this made me feel a bit stiff, especially when sat for a while. It went once I was appropriately treated.
They aren't puffy. Though its hard to tell with my right one as I dropped the back end of a wardrobe on it just before Christmas and it's still not healed properly and does swell sometimes.
I had/have that. I sometimes have to kneel down to stretch them out after walking. It gets better from time to time - not sure what really affects it but getting magnesium folate b12 etc all good and thyroid levels high in range helps. Is it inflammation do you think?
Well after researching more it might just be due to my weight. I've put loads on since having RAI and just but some more on! Really need to lose weight but it's so bloody difficult.
It sounds like you might be under medicated re the weight gain? Ive never managed to get down to my pre hypothyroid weight despite being optimally on my thyroid meds but I know am not active enough for other medical reasons. I did find getting my thyroid meds plus the key vits top of the range and going gluten free has helped a lot.
Definitely not weird after I lost my thyroid 5 years ago I woke up one morning with stiff tops of my feet that escalated to almost being crippled by it …. Eventually I was diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis (Enthesitis) that my rheumatologist believes my hormones could be the cause… Endo never liked that explanation.
I’ve had extensor tendinitis on the top of my foot, like my shoe laces have been laced too tightly. I saw a physio and it improved. Seems to worsen when wearing flip flops, heels or slim fitting shoes.
