Looks like medichecks isn't doing the saliva cortisol test , or I just can't find it, any other recommendations. Is the blood test worth it ?

Salvia test for cortisol
Tradoc
Medichecks saliva cortisol test isn't recommended anyway, it's cortisol only and the better test also measures DHEA.
Regenerus and Genova Diagnostics do the better tests and I use Regenerus because they email you direct when the results are ready whereas Genova send them to ThroidUK who then send them on to you when they've recieved your completed Test Results Form.

Genova, test code END01, page 3 of pdf of "List of avaulable tests": thyroiduk.org/help-and-supp...
I've ordered the regenerus one. Do I need to stop any bits before I do it
There will be a instruction leaflet so make sure you read through that. You can take essential medication but no supplements on the day, no caffeine on the day. Everything you need to know is in the instructions.
oh my god how hard is it to get the saliva for this lol
I find the waking one the most difficult as my mouth is always dry in the morning, but I manage fine with the others. The waking one I can do in 5-10 minutes and the others about 3 minutes.
does it have to go by ups?
No, I send mine back by Royal Mail's Special Delivery Guaranteed by 1pm, you have to hand it in at the Post Office counter and get a receipt with tracking number. Cheaper than the courier.
I tried to arrange the courier once, it's an automated telephone system, you can't speak to a human. I don't know if it's because I'm in a rural area and it didn't like my post code, and I can't remember what the problem was but it was one of those occasions where you end up wanting to shout at the stupid voice on the other end for not understanding and wasting time and money on a non productive phone call.
Post Office is a five minute walk for me and I know the time of the pick up of Special Delivery parcels so it's much easier.
Tradoc,
Serum cortisol offers a snap shot moment of bound & unbound (total) cortisol levels. Blood should be drawn before 9am to exemplify adrenals highest output capacity.
Saliva measures the available 'active' cortisol (& DHEA) secreted at set times over a 24 hour period. The results expose any circadian pattern imbalances and enable correct use of corrective adaptogens.
SsS has already detailed recommended tests above.
I emailed them to ask where it was, they gave me some bluff about redesigning the packaging and it will be back. I think they took it off because of their current discount
Thanks…I just asked the same question!
